Fantastic $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Is a Online Gaming GM's Dream

After a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time available through early December. The Main Attraction

The big draw is certainly a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard cartography program which enables users to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen top-down castle layouts including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting through inclusion of permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension with isometric views from multiple angles. Meanwhile, the Mapping Tome is a 760-page suitable for novices and experts, full of tips and tutorials covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series come with this bundle, plus numerous other resource and asset packs that can help users craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, dungeons, urban centers, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the full bundle offers tremendous value, especially for cartographers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. But it's obviously an even better deal for cartography beginners since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here is that while you can redeem the deal across platforms, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Charitable Component

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, the beneficiary is Save the Children, established in 1919 by Eglantyne Jebb focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
